CAMILLA BACHERINI

Professor of Sculpture and Ceramics

Sculptor and scenographer graduated from the Liceo Artistico and the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Firenze in 1992.
She founded the cultural association Pleiadi for the promotion of art and music.
In the years following she directed numerous scenografie and created sculptures for theatre, operas and concerts, her most important works included the following:

1993 Euridice di J. Peri performed at the Cenacolo Andrea del Sarto, Firenze;

1994 Euridice performed at the Pitti Palace, Firenze;

1995 Didone and Enea performed at the Pitti Palace, Firenze; Fare una leggiadra sua vendetta di G.B. Marino presso il Teatro 13 di Firenze;

1996 King Arthur of Purcell performed at the Pitti Palace; various sculptures for Zauberflote at the Wienes Stadhalle, Vienna; artistic director at the Biennal Art and Fashion Show for an exhibit in the gardens of Forte Belvedere, Firenze;

1997 Artistic director at the Biennal Art and Fashion Show at the Guggenheim Museum, Soho, New York;

1998 Monument at the English poet Lord Tennyson exhibited in the Lord Tennyson Park in England;

1999 Portrait of Alfred Hitchcock commissioned by an American foundation;

2000 Reproductions of numerous sculptures, among them being the famous Porcellino of Firenze for the writer Thomas Harrys, Miami Beach, Florida;

2001 Ornamental monuments for the Denver stadium.

Scenografic apparatus for the Roman exhibit on Ertè.

From 1997 has scenographed for the closing show at the Concorso Internazionale di Canto organized by the International Association Europeo Istituto.
