REBECCA HAYWARD

Rebecca Hayward was born in Chicago, Ill. in 1955 and graduated cum laude with a BA in Art History at the American University of Paris.
She started her formal art training with South African painter and illustrator, Pat Fogarty, learning basic drawing and illustration techniques, then, at the age of 16, she began working with Belgian painter and engraver, Paul Franck specialising in etching and oil painting.
Since 1979, she has been living in Florence Italy where she perfected oil painting techniques at the Cecil-Graves studio.
She is professor at the international section of the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York based in Florence and, since it’s foundation, president of the Associazione Artisti Contemporanei di Firenze e Metropoli.
